The Royal Highland Show: A Showcase of Agricultural Excellence

The Royal Highland Show, Scotland’s premier agricultural event, took place last week, highlighting the best in farming, food, and rural life. This year’s event was particularly exciting, with an impressive lineup of exhibitors.

Held annually at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh, the Royal Highland Show is a key fixture in the Scottish agricultural calendar, and attracts over 200,000 visitors from around the world.

We attended the event as an exhibitor for the second year in a row. The show provides a unique platform for networking and collaboration. For us, it is an opportunity to connect with existing customers, form new relationships, and gather feedback from the field. The event brings together a diverse audience, from farmers to dealers and manufacturers, creating a great environment for exchanging ideas and building relationships. Account Manager for Wales and Southern England, Paul Bown commented, “This is my first Royal Highland Show and I am impressed with the size of the event. The opportunity to network and the location of our stand allows for great interaction making it easy for our customers to find us.” Zed Zarin, Account Manager for Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland added, “It is great to see a wide range of dealers, interact with my existing customer base and form new networks.”

Some of the highlights from the event included livestock competitions, many food and drink showcases, Agri-tech Innovations, the Royal Highland Hoolie, and some special guests such as the Princess Royal! The show benefited from favourable weather, featuring mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures, thus creating a pleasant experience for all attendees.

Whilst at the show we met with Richard Jenkins from BAGMA and discussed the June 2024 offer for Ibcos customers who are BAGMA members. Dealers are already taking advantage of these savings, and it was fantastic to hear how some of them have already been in touch with BAGMA to say that they’ve benefitted.

As the Royal Highland Show continues to be a pivotal event in the agricultural calendar, our participation signifies our ongoing commitment to supporting the industry with innovative solutions. By continuously evolving and adapting to the changing needs of the market, we remain at the forefront of dealership management technology. Adam Giles, our Business Development Manager, remarked, “The Royal Highland Show is a standout event in the year and an amazing place for us to engage with dealers, manufacturers, and industry bodies. It’s great catching up with the network, and I am looking forward to coming back in 2025.”
